Rhonda DuVall “Honey,” is an independent R&B
artist, with a mix of Hip Hop and Soul. Her style of music tends to open one’s
eyes to a different perspective and gives the listener a chance to unwind in the
simplicity of words and thought. Some say, “She tells a message,” Others say,
“She speaks of real life experiences,” Honey says, “I speak on how the world
Honey takes upon the challenges in the music world with perseverance and patience. She sees an opportunity, and is willing to achieve it. Her vocal abilities have been premiered for many Mainstream and Underground artists such as: “Eternal” of Wu-Tang's KillaBeez, Baby Bash and Cyprus Hill, Amanda Perez, E-40, “ZigZag” of NBRidas, Prodigal Sunn of Wu-Tang, Cassidy, Be-Legit, Jay Tee, Chino 4 Real, The Native American Chamber of Commerce 2011 and Gathering of Nations 2013. Honey also does local performances including, Adopt-A-Native American elder, and Local, Multi-Cultural Assemblies through various Jr. High and High Schools.
In Late October 2010, Honey reached her first
dream, and released her album, “As Sweet As… Honey.” She is currently drawing in
75-200 guests per show locally and is being played on KUTE Radio 1620AM, RezTalk
Radio of Albuquerque New Mexico, KISS 97.3 of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Thunder Cloud Radio.
Born in Redlands, California, partially raised on the Dine’ reservation in Blue Gap,
Arizona and partially raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, the sensational, bi-racial
Honey acknowledges her influences including her Mother, who set an example, who
opened her eyes to a brighter future, one whom never leaves her side and is
constantly feeding her with positivity and wisdom. Her family, whom shows her
the real meaning of “Love” and “Support,” whom talks, and never yells and fills
her with the true comfort of PEACE.
